Miss Uganda Hannah Karema Tumukunde Reveals Her S.6 UNEB Results, Netizens React.

Miss Uganda Hannah Karema Tumukunde aced the 2022 the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams.

She got 15 points in a subject combination of History, Literature and Divinity (HLD). The best student scores 20 points.

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) and the State Minister for Higher Education, John Chrysostom Muyingo, released 2022 UACE results on March 5 and over 96,000 candidates sat for the examinations in 2022.

According to UNEB, a total of 97,889 candidates registered for the examinations from 1, 969 centers. Of the registered candidates, 42% (41,113) were females while 58% (56,776) were males.

Meanwhile, Hannah Karema said she is considering doing either Law or Journalism when she joins university.

Karema said school life wasn’t easy for her as they “used to walk 10-15 miles to reach school.”

That they would wake up as early as 4pm and reach school at 8am, she said in a media interview.

“By Primary Five, we were already used,” she said.

That they would carry milk in jerrycan to feed on while at school.

Hannah Karema Tumukunde, 20, was crowned Miss Uganda 2023/24 on March 18 at an event held at UMA Multipurpose Hall.

In the second position was artiste Cindy’s sister Whitney Martha Ademun while Prossy Agwang settled for the third position. Jerusha Muwanguzi and Jesca Sserwadda occupied the two final places in this year’s beauty pageant.

The Miss Uganda pageant was last held in 2019 before the Covid-19 outbreak which forced the break.
