As we are winding up the year 2016, today we have bring for you the best top five east African artistes of the year and here is the list in order below.
1. Saut Sol: These boys came as a joking subject but finally they have conquered east African music industry to the extent of even topping the list of the best five East African male artistes of year 2016. Kenyan artistes `Sauti Sol`s work has been louder than words eg. They had hit songs this year such as Africa, wana be Rich, unconditionally love which gained airplay on all African media platforms.
2. Alikiba: Yes believe it or not , King Kiba has been hot this year and besides that he managed to beat up Nigerian Wizkid in Mama award 2016. Besides his work , he has tried to set a massive competition to west and south African artistes. Hence becoming in position number two.
3. Diamond Platinum: Yes this has been dull compared to the previous years though finally at the end of the year his `Salome` redone song brought him back to the fame, and besides that, Diamond also scooped different nominations of different awards such as BET awards, Mama awards, Afrima awards among others.
4. Dr. Jose Chameleone: yes musically this year was dead but according to the various shows that he has spearheaded this year Eg, Karoge festival in kenya, Kungufu , among others, it has led him to appear on the list of the best East African artiste if the year
