Guilty Acram Gumisiriza Denies ‘Break Up’ Rumors With Dr. Kulthum, Saying It Was Just A Stunt.

Eng. Akram Gumisiriza has dispelled talk that he, and his wife Dr. Kulthum Nabunya are no more.

Gumisiriza says people misconstrued a Tiktok video in which he appeared to be shedding tears with Bryan Adams’ “Please Forgive Me” playing in the background.

There have been rumours that Eng Acram Gumisiriza and Dr Kulthum have split up

The Tiktok, which had over 150k views by Wednesday and thousands of comments, was shared with the caption “..please forgive me Kul wange omulunji Hajjati wange” on Tuesday May 30th, 2023.

Rumours that the couple had split up were fueled by an earlier viral video in which Gumisiriza appeared at a Kiganda introduction ceremony with a woman only identified as Shakira.

But while addressing the reports on Wednesday, Gumisiriza said the sobbing video was not real about a break up, but a love cry.

“I was crying telling her to turn down the love a bit because she loves me so much,” he said. “I was telling her to slow it down a notch because it’s killing me. It was too much, so I ended up shedding tears.”

About the introduction, Gumisiriza said he was only there as one of the guests, and not the groom.

The groom is a friend of mine called Becker; we were escorting him. But the media likes spoiled things, so when they saw the video of me and the bride they said I was marrying another woman.”

Gumisiriza and Dr Kulthum (widow of the late Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte) are expecting their first child. He says he is currently finalizing plans to take her to the US for antenatal care.
