House of Prayer Ministry International lead pastor Aloysius Bugingo has no kind words for singer and politician Bobi Wine over Ugx 1m condolence at late Kato Lubwama’s burial.
Kato Lubwama’s funeral highlights have been the talk of the town for the last few days with Bobi Wine’s condolence being the most recent.
Taking to the church pulpit during a Sunday service, Pastor Bugingo expressed his disappointment with Bobi Wine for chipping in condolences that he felt were insufficient given his stature.
On the other hand, Bugingo praised Muhammad Nsereko for supporting the late Kato Lubwama throughout good times and bad.
Pastor Bugingo has been at odds with Bobi before; most recently, he chastised him for failing to comment on the homosexuality bill.
However, online users’ reactions to Pastor Bugingo’s comments have been conflicted, with some suggesting that he is biased against Bobi Wine because of his political affiliation.
Others, however, have argued that there is no set sum that must be paid while offering condolences and that Bugingo’s outbursts were uncalled for.
