H.E YK Museveni is now safe and sound after recovering from Covid-19.
President Museveni resumed official work as Head-of-State on Monday, June 19, 2023 a day after confirming that he was Covid-19 negative.
On the same day, he proceeded to State House-Entebbe to chair the cabinet meeting.
President Museveni tested positive for Covid-19 two weeks ago, sending him into self-isolation.
“President Museveni would like to thank all those who wished him a quick recovery and all those who prayed for him. May the Lord God bless you. He has BEATEN ?covid-19 and is now fine and negative. The Glory goes to God,” reads a statement by State House – Uganda
He was also prompted to have a work leave for the first time ever since he assumed power in 1986.
President Museveni also missed the African Peace Mission in Ukraine and Russia, where he was supposed to join other African Leaders to meet and hold talks with H.E Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia.
