Bajjo believes Ykee Benda would be flying high if he had become a barber. Bajjo, real name Andrew Mukasa, made the remarks in a media interview in which he was asked to name musicians who qualify to be stars.
“He has never been,” said Bajjo when Benda’s name was suggested, “and he doesn’t even qualify to be a musician. I told him he should be a barber.”
Bajjo, a seasoned events promoter, said “a star is [a person] who isn’t proud” when he was asked to define the term. According to him, “Paul Kafeero was a star.”
“Chameleone,” he said, “is [also] a star.”
He also named Rema Namakula and Cindy Sanyu among the music stars in the country.
He said “Bebe Cool is a good musician, but he is not a star.” He said he would have made a good businessman.
According to Bajjo, “Alien Skin is a bigger star than Pallaso.”
Bajjo was among those who trashed Pallaso’s concert. Pallaso’s Love Fest Concert was promoted by Balaam Barugahara, Bajjo’s nemesis.
In a media interview, Barugahara called Bajjo a Champion Ogudo of the music promotion sector.
“The only person Bajjo can afford is Champion Ogudo who costs Shs13,000,” said Balaam Barugahara. “Honestly, Bajjo can only handle Champion Ogudo. Bajjo is the Champion Ogudo of promoters.”
For the uninitiated, Champion Ogudo is the self-styled bodyguard of singer Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana.
Ogudo’s association with Skin, combined with both their eccentric personalities, has turned him into a celebrity.
He commands a following of 230.3K on TikTok, the Chinese-grown video hosting service.
Meanwhile, Bajjo said he is planning a concert for singer Clever J. He also promised to organise support to help him build a house.
He said he was the first to organise Clever J.’s concert.
