A fresh battle of words has broken out between top singer, model and actress Hellen Lukoma and award winning music duo Kateleya and Kandle.
In a fiery interview on Sunday, June 25, Lukoma unloaded on the girls, berating their looks and challenging them to gain some experience before commenting about her.
This was supposedly in response to an earlier dig at her, by Kateleya.
“You are still in a band of 2; you are still traveling in a bread van, you haven’t achieved a fraction of what I have at my age. You cannot question what I have done in 10 years when you have only moved one ***ing year,” Lukoma charged.
In an earlier interview, Kataleya reportedly made some unsavory remarks about Lukoma’s music career contrasting it to theirs.
She said, according to reports, that her group had achieved more in a short spell, than the ‘Olinye ya Maje Singer in 10 years.
The budding artists who describe themselves as best friends, started singing back in 2018 but found fame around 2021. They are signed to Theron Music Management.
Lukoma on the other hand is a 34 year old former member of the defunct Obsessions girls group. She’s also ventured in modeling, fashion design and acting.
Lukoma was infuriated in the interview about the duo “attacking their senior.”
“First get out of that bread van… one day you will be in a solo career… once you get there, we shall sit and talk,” she said.
“Besides my (wealth), I am a mother; I have kids. First have your own kids and then we can talk. I am a queen, you are a princess.”
According to Lukoma, the Onsanze Ndaba singers were mad that she recently declined to give them advice about their career.
“They asked me for advice and I told them I couldn’t give them my opinion because they are already doing well, and they need to work their way up on their own like the rest of us have,” she said.
Their other songs include, Njagala, Nkunonya, Onsanze Ndaba Kyolina, Njagala Money, Nyash, Tonnafuya, Muzibe wa Love, Halleluya and Miwula.
