Spice Diana doesn’t see herself dating a fellow musician or a famous person for that matter, at her current age.
She doesn’t believe she’d be able to withstand a person going through the same troubles as herself in a relationship. “Maybe later, but at my age now, I’d say no,” said the 27 year old.
“I look at the hustle that I am going through right now and I cannot imagine having to endure my stress and that of someone else like me. I feel like what I need is someone from a completely different field. When I come home I want to hear something new from a lawyer, or a farmer.”
The singer also says she wouldn’t date a famous person, whether or not they are in the music industry. She says she wouldn’t want to “share the limelight” with the same person under the same roof.
Diana, real names Hajara Namukwaya, while addressing queries about her love life in an interview with Ibra Mukasa last week, emphasized that she would never reveal to the public her partner.
She feels that outing her private life is of no benefit to her fans. Besides, any mishap such a break up, could be used to her disadvantage by her enemies.
“Many mistakes have been made…with women, I think it’s important to keep some things to yourself. You don’t want your fans to be talking about your body count; you are going to embarrass yourself,” she said.
“Remember we are all humans, we get into relationships and they fail. Imagine me having to tell you that I have been in five failed relationships in one year; Even if it is normal, for a person like me, I would have become a problem to the nation.”
Diana, for the past seven years has succeeded in keeping her love life under the wraps, in spite of rumors popping up occasionally about her dating a number of figures in the entertainment industry.
The “Kwata Wano” singer has so far been linked to fellow artists including, Gravity Umutujju, Eddy Kenzo, Pallaso, Fik Famaica and even her manager Roger, among others.
