City Tycoon Hamis Kiggundu Refutes Rumors Of Burna Boy Performing At The Grand Opening Of His Nakivubo Stadium.

Renowned businessman Hamis Kiggundu has dispelled reports making rounds suggesting that he is bringing Nigerian singer Burna Boy to perform during the Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium grand opening.

In 2017, Ham Kiggundu set out to renovate Nakivubo Stadium to a top-notch international standard. The revamping process was initially planned to take only two years but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funded by Kampala city tycoon Hamis Kiggundu, the 3,500-seater stadium’s renovation process is being made by Roko Construction Company Limited.

The stadium which is currently receiving its finishing touches, is expected to be formally opened before the year is out.

Reports that surrounded the stadium’s grand opening, suggested that Ham Kiggundu was planning to jet in Nigerian star Burna Boy to put up a stellar performance at the event.

While addressing the reports during an interview with NBS Sport, Ham Kiggundu revealed that he has severally crossed paths with the propaganda about Burna Boy performing at the stadium’s grand opening, before branding the allegations false and baseless.

Ham maintained that if there is anything regarding the Stadium or its grand opening, he will communicate, but for now, his main emphasis is on the stadium’s completion.

Actually, I’ve heard the propaganda that Burna Boy was coming for the grand opening but that is a lie because if there is anything I am going to do to the stadium in regards to the stadium or its grand opening, I can speak, I can come out and tell you look here this is what we are going to do. But for now, my entire focus is on the completion of the stadium.
