Singer Jackie Chandiru has narrated how far she went to just obtain drugs by the time she got addicted. The singer struggled with drug addiction for some years.
It deteriorated in 2019 when she wasn’t working anymore and was hopping from bar to bar to buy the drugs. Her health was so bad as her body was full of wounds from injections of drugs she was putting into her body many times a day.
Jackie Chandiru said the drugs were very expensive to buy especially by someone like her who wasn’t getting booked for shows.
As an artiste who had worked hard the previous years, Jackie bought herself assets. However, in the crisis of money to buy drugs, the singer said she started selling off the things had in the house. The worst part of it, she was selling expensive things at very cheap price.
“I went through a terrible experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I even sold my valuables at a very low price to obtain drugs,”she said in her recent interview.
It should be noted that the singer is now a sober lady. She hasn’t taken drugs for some years and she is back to doing her music. She even educates people about the dangers of using drugs. The singer revealed her story of how she almost lost her life because of them.
