NBS Television News Anchor Hatmah Nalugwa Criticizes Abryanz’s Kampala Style Brunch for ‘Silly’ Fashion Choices

Hatmah Nalugwa Ssekaya, a prominent NBS television news anchor, has voiced her disapproval of the current fashion trends, particularly in the wake of Abryanz’s Kampala Style Brunch. In her candid assessment, she described the event as “silly and stupid.”

Abryanz recently organized a modest fashion gathering to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his clothing line. This decision stemmed from his announcement that he would not be hosting the annual Abryanz Fashion Awards this year, which he traditionally organizes.

The Kampala Style Brunch drew a diverse crowd, with the dress code specified as black attire. However, some attendees, particularly women, took the dress code to an extreme by wearing outfits that exposed a significant portion of their bodies, which left many disapproving.

Expressing her opinion, Hatmah Nalugwa suggested that the behavior exhibited at the event could contribute to ongoing challenges in Uganda. She acknowledged that some might view her perspective as outdated, but she firmly asserted that the Abryanz Kampala Style Brunch was characterized by “silly and stupid” fashion choices. She believed that the attendees could have dressed more appropriately for the occasion.

“Label me old-fashioned, but the way some people behaved at the Kampala Style Brunch is a reflection of the silliness and stupidity that can bring misfortunes to our country and the world. Ensi mujikunamidde nnyo bantu mwe,” she tweeted.
