Several members of parliament have been picked by police from the plenary session, and taken to a yet to be identified destination,. The arrested MPs include, Robert Kagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine, Allan Ssewanyana and Odonga Otto were driven away in a police van.

The parliamentary area is still heavily deployed by police officers. Fights erupted Today 27th Thursday afternoon at parliament after Speaker Rebecca Kadaga suspended scores of MPs for three sittings over misconduct.

Most of the affected lawmakers are from the opposition.

The MPs who include Mukono Municipality’s Betty Nambooze, Robert Kyagulanyi and Mohammed Nsereko were engaged in acts of violence during the plenary session.
