MPs Faints, Other Injured in a fight at Uganda Parliament as Kadaga Suspends Violent MPs

As soon as Kadaga announced her suspension of opposition Members of Parliament including Mukono Municipality’s Betty Nambooze, Robert Kyagulanyi  aka Bobi wine and Mohammed Nsereko  for engaging in acts of violence during the plenary session  , hell broke loose with the MPs putting up a fight. Chairs were broken, shoe flung in the air as MPs exchanged punched with security officers
They were caught on camera throwing chairs and heckling as they resisted plans to table a private member’s bill aimed at removing the presidential age limit of 75 years.  And they were  suspended scores of MPs for three sittings over misconduct.
Other MPs suspended by Kadaga include Odonga Otto, Vincent Niwagaba, Nandala Mafabi, Mubarak Munyagwa, Barnabus Tinkasiimire, Medard Sseggona and Joseph Sewungu among others Soroti Woman Member of Parliament Angelina Osege fainted in the parliamentary chambers during this scuffle that ensued. Several others were injured including Sergent at Arms official, Bosco Ouni, who was hit by a chair thrown from the opposition side.

Bobi Wine, Allan Ssewanyana, Gerald Karuhanga and Odonga Otto among others have also been arrested. Over 10 legislators have also been reported hospitalized at Case Clinic.
