One unidentified man was allegedly clobbered to a coma during the clash between Togikwatako group [against the amendment] and Gikwateko group [pro-amendment] in Bukomansimbi district.
The victim stormed the venue yelling and urging others to support of age limit removal. He was part of the group of seven men carrying President Museveni posters and those of Youth Minister, Nakiwala Kiyingi, who tried to disrupt the rally.
A group of youth who are opposed to the amendment descended on the victim and beat him to a pulp. An earlier report said he had been killed on spot.
Three of his colleagues were hit with bricks and they sustained injuries on their jaws and also lost some of their teeth.
