A Muslim sheikh in Mbale district has been found dead a day after he was reportedly picked up from his home by yet to be identified people.
The body of Sheikh Issa Wampongo, a duat teacher at Yusra Primary School in Nakaloke, Mbale district, was this morning found lying in a stream in Kachumbala in Bukedea district.
Sheikh Wampongo, also a Masters student at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), was allegedly picked up by unidentified people from his home in Nakaloke town council on Monday night. His body was dumped in a stream in Kachumbala, Bukedea district this morning.
Suleiman Luutu Wandera, the director of Yusra Primary School, says Sheikh Wampongo will be buried today in Nakaloke.
