As the ongoing tough restructure continues to roll around Nation Media Group companies in Uganda, we have been informed that “The Beat” presenter Douglas Lwanga and his producer Shawn Segawa have been axed. Apparently, Segawa has already been replaced by a one Isaac Kugonza as the new ‘The Beat producer’.
The new changes took effect towards the end of last week where young blood Chrystal Panda co-hosted The Beat alongside Sheila Gashumba who was already on the crew as an ‘exclusive access’ host.
Chrystal Panda has been the main host for T-Nation, a weekly teens show airing on Saturdays.
Other people who survived the restructure by whisker is NTV’s former Managing Director Johnson Omollo who was named as a General Manager in charge of television. Omollo was replaced by Anthony Craig Glencross as the overall Group Managing Director, heading both the Daily Monitor and NTV.
