Sensational legendary singer, songwriter and at the same time Goodlyfe manager Kyagambidwa Geoffrey alias ‘Chagga’ has opened up on his fellow artists and Ugandan entertainment stakeholders abandoning him when he was jailed for almost two week.
Apparently, Chagga says he is one of the few country’s music legendries who is supposed to be supported in all conditions but it’s unfortunate that the country would never value such people who have lifted the industry to where its comfortably lying now.
Chagga further reveals how he was shocked to see even the few people he trusted in this music industry abandoning him and leaving him to rot in jail.
However, the ‘Goodlyfe Big Papa’ has thanked all friends who intervened and helped him raise at least Shs. 5Million in order to be released from prison. It should be remembered that Chagga was arrested after failing to turn up with his artists for a show in Luweero yet they had been fully paid to perform.
He later agreed to pay Shs. 5Million to the promoter in order to be released as he tussles out for the remaining Shs.14Million which he will be re-arrested if he fails to recover within the designated time frame.
