Following the president directive to close schools effective 10th june this year, parents have hurried to pick thier children early moring from thier schools before the given date elapses.
Many students were seen leaving thier schools a few months after classes resumed.
the frustrated parents this paper talked to said it was absurd to close schools just a few moths from the time they closed.
“Ever since schools opened we had to look for fees for our children but now that we have paid some money they are closing again. Are we going to pay again when schools open?”. One parent said
“We had started on our syllabus and trying to pick up what we had forgotten but now that we are going back home I don’t know how we shall cop up” said a student
At the bus park, people were crowed trying to get tickets for the village.
However due to the overwhelming number, ticket prices rose leaving passengers frustrated.
President Museveni yesterday while addressing the public on the new Covid -19 measures said schools must close in order to avoid the spread of the virus that is attacking mostly people aged18-30 years
