Media personality Hatmah Nalugwa Ssekaaya has opened up about the arduous journey her mother undertook to accept a Muslim man into their family.
She revealed that her mother initially held deep-seated prejudices against the Muslim culture and adamantly opposed her daughters marrying Muslims.
Despite her mother’s reservations, Hatmah found herself deeply in love with a Muslim man, Ssekaaya, who captured her heart like no other.
Determined to follow her heart, she sought the assistance of her grandmother, who played a pivotal role in persuading her mother to embrace the union.
Overcoming numerous obstacles, Hatmah Nalugwa and Ssekaaya solidified their bond in marriage in 2008. Today, their love stands as a testament to the power of acceptance and understanding.
