Among her bold statements, Nyanjura has famously expressed, “I am married to the ‘struggle’. I don’t have a husband, and I have told people that I don’t intend to have a husband, but I intend to have a partner because when you look at the husband in the African sense of the word, you know what I mean when I talk of a husband. For me, I have a partner, I don’t have a husband.”

As she embraces this new chapter of motherhood, Doreen Nyanjura continues to inspire with her unwavering dedication to her principles and her commitment to advocating for gender equality and social justice.
