Former Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, has been drawing attention for her noticeable weight loss, raising concerns among Ugandans about her well-being.
During a recent public appearance at the International Women’s Day celebrations on March 8, 2024, at Boma Grounds, Katakwi District, Kadaga appeared visibly different, with observations noting a slight lightening of her facial skin—a potential indicator of a skin complication alongside her rapid weight loss.
The significant change in Kadaga’s physique has ignited discussions online, particularly on X Platform (formerly Twitter), where users have expressed apprehension regarding her current health status.
This isn’t the first health-related incident involving Kadaga. In 2019, she collapsed after returning from a strenuous 10-day working tour to Morocco and the United States of America.
Her illness was attributed to her demanding work schedule, fatigue, and jet lag, leading to her admission to Nakasero Hospital before being transferred to Agha Khan Hospital in Nairobi two days later.
