By Wycliff G; UK based Ugandan artist Alice Violet Mutumba better known by stage names AVM is here to close off the last quarter of the year with her new banger titled ‘Ndi Maliyo’.
“Ndi MaliYo” which loosely translates to “Your Treasure” is about AVM professing her love to the significant other as she fuses Luganda and Swahili.
The song, produced by Bomba Beats (Route Studio) carries the signature sound of AVM complimented with a catchy hook that will make the song an earworm for the listener. With a video on the way, MaliYo is pegged to become a crowd’s favorite as we usher in the festive season.
Known for her hit singles; Nteledde, Block dem, Rock my body Ft. Rabadaba, and “Nkoye” featuring Radio (R.I.P), among others Ndi Maliyo is another stride in AVM’s journey as a fast-rising independent artist in the diaspora making an impact back home through her music.

“AVM” Alice Violet Mutumba has been in the entertainment industry since the age of 6 years starting as a child TV star in her beloved Uganda. Alice moved to London, England at the age of 8, taking with her a passion for music and the performing arts.
It was in the UK where AVM nurtured her talents, including, singing, songwriting, basic music production, TV presenting, acting, and more.
At the age of 16 AVM started pursuing music seriously after being encouraged by her Performing Arts A-Level teacher, she later enrolled in a music technology course and started co-writing and producing pop songs with a German freelance producer.
In 2014 AVM reunited with her music career and released her first solo single Kwata Ko in Uganda, since the release of the single and video, her career has progressed steadily.
AVM has so far collaborated with talented Uganda artists such as Cesearous, Rabadaba, and the legendary late Mowzey Radio, this has established her as Uganda’s next big talent, the one to watch out for in the coming years.
