In a recent media statement, Jazmine, also known as Lydia Nabawanuka, addressed the speculation surrounding her concert dates, asserting that there is no conflict and confirming that her concert plans remain unchanged.
Unfazed by the controversy, she expressed her support for others holding shows on the same dates, emphasizing her commitment to a harmonious coexistence within the entertainment industry.
“The official poster is ready and will be released in the coming week, revealing the venue. To the best of my knowledge, no one else has a conflicting show on March 1,” Jazmine stated confidently.
The emerging artist is gearing up for her maiden concert, scheduled for March 1, 2024. Despite the recent announcement by Rema Namakula about her own concert on February 23, 2024, at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, Jazmine remains steadfast in her plans and is unfazed by the overlapping dates.
The controversy escalated after DJ Vee, Rema Namakula’s cousin, suggested that Jazmine played a role in Namakula’s separation from her former partner, Eddy Kenzo.
The Ngonze hitmaker, who had previously collaborated with Kenzo, moved in with him around 2013. Kenzo and Rema welcomed their daughter, Aamal Musuza, in 2014. Rema is now happily married to Dr. Hamza Ssebunya, and they have a daughter named Aaliyah Ssebunya.
Both Kenzo and Jazmine have denied any romantic involvement, with Jazmine reiterating her focus on her upcoming concert and dismissing any perceived rivalry.
As the alleged beef unfolds, both Rema and Jazmine stand to benefit from heightened public interest, potentially drawing larger audiences to their respective shows.
The clash of concert dates, if navigated strategically, could serve as a promotional advantage for both artists, leveraging the attention to create buzz and excitement around their individual performances.
