Here songstress ‘Leila Kayondo’ faces another huge blow of her career from her own fans and entire entertainment industry at large. After hooking up a huge slot into the 2018 AFRIMA awards earlier this week, the singer proved more superior and amazed about this as she bragged on her social media.
Before it clocked to dusk, the entire music industry had already red flagged the ‘Relaxing’ singer with her own fans inclusive as they demeaned her ability to qualify for a nomination in such a huge category.
Apparently, Leila Kayondo will be battling with the likes of Butera Knowless, Charly & Nina from Rwanda, Vanessa Mdee, Nandy from Tanzania, Victoria Kimani, Akothee from Kenya and fellow Ugandans Sheebah, Rema Namakula and Juliana Kanyomozi.
This has sparked a lot of criticism from the public to point of branding the awards ‘Fake and artists’ influential’. However, respected sources have it that her nomination might have been influenced by Striker Entertainment, a Nigerian record label she is signed to.
