The ‘Bapipo Ntayi’ singer took it from his social media as he declared end of his music break which he started last year after his Political temperatures rising as his home area (Mawokota North) people demanded for his candidature come 2021.
This is what he wrote on his social media; “END OF MUSIC BREAK. October last year I took a music break just like any other professional is entitled to an annual leave. Being self-employed i decided not to release a song in this period. This space has helped me to learn many things and get to know public perception and reactions to our creations which any artist must be introduced to for progress purposes. My last pieces be4 the break were OMWANA AGENDA AND BAPIPO NTAYI which I released after breaking with Golden band. This is for my brothers and sisters in the industry.
A break is very health and fruitful. Being consumed by people’s ears is everybody’s dream but never tally well in terms of economics especially when one is not calculative in our today economy. Majority of us excite our funs and cry in private. This has been a great lesson I have taken during my break, the pressure to always have a new song has killed most talented ones. The most exciting thing is that even without a song for a year and half, I have been booked for every weekend for functions, shows, promotional drives and cooperate endorsements. This made me learn that an established artist can best rhyme with his legacy for survival.
“Your relevance at the beginning years matter a lot, this is to the upcoming artist especially”. To you the upcoming artist reading me now, Akapya kaliwa, music failure, wagwamu, struggling artist etc are the common words used by our critics and never allow them to move you. Allow them to call you that but dont lose the focus of earning atlst a million every week.
No failure earns money, and funs are not stupid to pay failures. We should think positive always, give yourself a pace that matches well with your game. Competition is health for only a strategic and prepared personality. Ladies and gentlemen welcome to October.”
