Self-proclaimed African music legendary ‘Jose Chameleone’ has finally swallowed pride and humbly apologized to Hon. Ruh Nankabirwa for having publically embarrassed her during his recent ‘Legend Saba Saba’ concert.
Chameleone is remembered to have snatched away the stage microphone from Hon. Nankabirwa when she had been invited by events organizer Mr. Balaam Barugahara to launch his new radio ‘Radio 4’.
This shocked everyone at that point sparking debates among many about his act especially after summoning fellow singer, politician ‘Bobi Wine’ later on stage whom he applauded and shared some beautiful moments with on stage.
During his press conference held on Wednesday at his new chill-out place ‘DNA Lounge’ in Kololo, Chameleone dropped his apology for the government Chief Whip.
In his statement, Chameleone conceded his misbehavior however pinned Balaam to have been responsible for the concert mismanagement and disorganized programme.
“I honestly apologize to the Minister for my behavior. I have nothing against her, it was just a hyper moment my adrenaline was extremely high I dint realize she was still talking, “the music Doctor apologized humbly.
“The issue was that Balaam held a security meeting but not a program meeting! I had no idea there would be a guest of honor! I never knew about speeches! Why would I chase away someone who had brought for me 20million?”
“I am not people power I am not NRM… I am my own man. Bobi Wine is my long term friend so when I saw him in the crowd I called him out because he is a fellow artist but it was never about politics,” he added.
The ‘Tatizo’ singer further revealed how Hon. Nankabirwa had started politicizing her speech, forcing the revelers to boo at her and throw some bottles on stage.
Since then, he has not been in good terms with Balaam to an extent of rejecting his calls and messages.
