Sunday, 24th February was another memorable day out that one could never not have missed out especially when the party is pimped with Nyama Choma, Wines and soft drinks, cool lake breeze and some reggae vibes playing in the background.
If it’s not Ugandan music record label ‘Swangz Avenue’, who else can bear it all to organize at least three of such Caribbean events every year?
Another edition of the annual Roast & Rhyme festival went down on Sunday at Jahazi Pier Munyonyo with this year’s theme “Reggae Ragga Nyam Nyam.”
Unlike the previous events, by midday the venue had almost handfuls of revelers who had curiously traveled from different areas of Uganda only to wine and mingle at the festival.
Most of them were spotted expensively dressed in African culture designs, feasting on Nyama Choma, wines and fruits as they enjoyed the cool breeze from Lake Victoria.
Artists Ragga Dee, Kent and Flosso featured Jazz Band in live Reggae and Ragga music performances commemorating the theme.
Roast and Rhyme is at least three times a year by Swangz Avenue in collaboration with Bell Jamz and House of DJs.
