Congolese singer Awilo Longomba’s concerts in Uganda have made a new musical land mark that will surely take sometime to be exceeded.
African music legend who jetted into Uganda last week, put up an epic performance on Friday at Kampala Serena Hotel leaving Kampala party animals yearning for more.
Accompanied by performances from Ugandan top music icons; Jose Chameleone and Eddy Kenzo, the Awilo – Serena show was so lit.
The show also received a record breaking attendance as uncountable revelers flocked Serena Hotel Victoria Hall all in high anxiety of the Soukous dances.
Awilo’s second show was in Northern Uganda capital, Arua on Sunday where it indeed seemed a continuation of the Serena gig.
By early evening hours, Onduparaka FC’s Green Light stadium was already on fire than never before with over 20,000 Lugubara revelers after confirming that the ‘Coupe Bibamba’ singer was in town.
Sunday evening, the entire town was capped with Lingala dress code and dance moves from Awilo’s band.
