It looks like the reaping season for fast ever rising singer Kasadha John aka ‘John Blaq’ has kicked off heavily than any other Ugandan artist that he will never live to regret his early music hustle.
News still doing around town is about the ‘Obubadi’ singer scooping a multi-million deal with one of the biggest beverages company globally, ‘Pepsi’ under campaign ‘Tukwatagane ne Pepsi’.
Digging deep into our investigations on how the deal really came about; the singer was approached by Pepsi company scouts after his massive victory in the recently concluded Zzina awards at Theater Labonita.
In the awards, Blaq won three awards; Best Dancehall artiste, Best Dancehall song and Best breakthrough artiste of the year 2018.
It is barely 2 years down the music scene but the frog-voiced singer is still determined to disprove his longtime music critics.
Pepsi is well known for its long-standing good relationship with famous global celebrities like; Mohammed Salah, Lionel Messi, Beyonce, Konshens, Davido, among others all targeting such a huge youthful market around the world.
However, John Blaq is not the first ever artiste in Uganda to be named by Pepsi as others like; Jose Chameleone, Vampino, Maro, Jackie Chandiru, among others appear on the same company list.
We will keep you posted.
