By Wycliff G; Ugandan fabled TV/radio host Judithiana Namazzi is ill-at-ease after landing a new job at the British Broadcasting Cooperation Africa.
The ‘Mulatto-skinned’ media personality has started 2020 in style with a new TV program dubbed ‘The She Word’ a women discussion program that was launched in 2018 on the pan African BBC station.
“When the people from BBC Africa reached out to me, they told me how they had seen a clip of me presenting on salon talk hence asking me to be a part of the ‘The She Word’. It was so exciting! One, because it’s BBC and secondly because it was on merit as opposed to a connection…. (thread),” wrote Judithiana.
The show presents stories told in an honest and engaging way. The She Word asks questions like: what is special about being an African woman? Is an African woman understated? How do we break down gender stereotypes? Can we celebrate the successes of female entrepreneurs in a way that will inspire others?
The female media personality who also dubs as an entrepreneur, Pro makeup artist & beauty educator under the brand ‘Beauty By Judy Makeup’ will surely bring on table notable discussions in the program to improve lives of African women.
Judithiana quit Urban TV, Uganda last year for a juicy seat she had scooped at Multi-Choice Uganda’s Station Pearl Magic.
Currently, on radio, Judithiana co-hosts a prime time show “Breakfast In The City” on 97FM Radio City. The show focuses on current affairs with a hint of entertainment. And on TV, Judithiana plays host for an entertainment show dubbed “Jechili” which recognizes and celebrates Ugandan arts in pockets of Music, Acting & Culture.
Wishing you all the best Judithiana!
