By Wycliff G; Following his runts last week of not receiving his payment after offering services to the NRM Political party chairperson, H.E YK Museveni in the 2011 Presidential campaigns, singer Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye StarBoss is still on eager on bump with the later.
The ‘Ndi single’ singer has decided to legalize his misunderstandings with his former bosses with a notice from his lawyers.
Through his lawyers, KM Advocates and Associates, Big Eye has addressed the National Resistance Movement and its Chairperson, H.E YK Museveni, with ‘intention to sue’ if he is not paid over Shs. 270Million.
In the lawsuit, the Lawyers reveal that Big Eye was part of the Presidential elections in the year as a performing artist.
His musical performances undoubtedly contributed to the re-election of the NRM chairperson in the office of the President with 68.38% of the vote in the 2011 General elections.
Their client ought to have been fairly and reasonably remunerated not only on a contractual basis but also on grounds of intellectual property law.
Bearing in mind that one of the ideologies of NRM is ‘Economic Liberation’ and that the NRM has, continuously been seen to respect individual and/or private rights they thereby demand that he is paid a sum of Shs. 270Million being full and final settlement of the claims that he has against the NRM jointly and/or severally.
They also promise to invoke all possible legal remedies against NRM should it fail to heed the demands set out in the letter within a period of 14days, upon receipt thereof and these include but not limited commencing a suit in a competent of law.
