By Website reporter; Big Brother Naija Season 5 was premiered yesterday at 2:00PM EAT and it’s even more exciting as MultiChoice Nigeria revealed a bigger grand prize of 85 million Naira for the winner and 30 million Naira for 30 lucky fans when they lock in their favourite housemates.

This season, Big Brother is ceding more power to the fans with the introduction of the tiered voting system which gives GOtv and DStv subscribers an edge and more votes to keep their favourite BBNaija housemates in the house.
Big Brother’s house shows up some exciting new features including a first of its kind salon, a revamped head of house lounge and a disinfection tunnel to usher the housemates into the house.
After over two weeks of compulsory isolation and Covid-19 testing, the housemates were ready to be ushered into the show for a whole new season of premium entertainment.
The first five housemates had bodies fitting demigods with conspiracies on top of their to-do lists. First was Ozo with a knack for playing pranks then the singing bird Vee.
This year, fans have a glimpse at royalty with the third housemate Prince. Lilo the go-getter followed shortly and in her wake was the fun loving TrikyTee.
Other new housemates include Lucy, Kiddwaya, Dorathy who seems to be a quick favorite, Praise, Wathoni, Tochi, Ka3na, the 6ft 5 Eric, Erica, Bright O, Kaisha, Neo, Tolanibaj, Laycon and the final housemate, Nengi.
For this season, the stakes got higher with a 85 million Naira worth of prizes to be won but the voting options also got a face-lift. Asides voting via SMS and mobile, the organizers have introduced the tier voting style which will see higher voting slots for different DSTV subscriptions.
With the housemates all in and getting acquainted over food and laughs, it is safe to say we are officially in for 10 weeks of mind blowing reality television show.
