Frank Gashumba and his daughter’s boyfriend, Rickman Manrick, met again on Sunday as the daughter launched her new retail store named Gash Luxe, which is located on Clement Hill in Kampala.
In pictures shared on social media, Rickman appears to be talking to Gashumba judging by the body language.
Speaking at the event, Gashumba said: “I tested this life last year, December, and I think I learnt a lot. There is life you guys live… Actually, I’ve been in my bed and I’ve received over 50 phone calls, why are [you not here?]”
The message above indicates that he wasn’t planning on attending though he had earlier congratulated his daughter upon the milestone.
He went on: “Because I’m an old person and we’re preparing for the next government [referring to Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s presidential ambitions]. So, you have to rest. By the time we take over the government, we know what we’re going to do.”
He also made it clear to his daughter that she has potential to do more than just run a store.
He added: “This is too small for you, I know your potential, I know what you can be… Don’t celebrate that you opened up a store; I know what you can be and what the world expects from you… I can see all social media platforms here, and surprisingly, the many guys I see here, you guys trend in falsehoods… Big companies will never work with you unless you guys are there to impact societies.”
Meanwhile, Manrick and Sheilah were filmed kissing each other.
It should be recalled that a voice note leaked to the public last month in which Gashumba is heard taking jibes at Manrick following their first meeting.
Meanwhile, Sheilah Gashumba said she and her boyfriend equally invested the initial Shs18 million to acquire the store from the previous owner.
