It seems controversial singer ‘Ronald Mayinja’ has not exempted from his formerly known betrayal characters that nearly ended his music career in 2014.
It is not a fortnight ever since Mayinja threw in a towel at his longtime music camp ‘Golden Band’ where he was one of the artists and band directors, the ‘Tulikubunkenke’ singer seems to have reversed this decision.
Reports reaching Imbaraga news room indicate that Mayinja has been welcomed back as a prodigal son after having a private meeting with the Golden Band heads on Wednesday 9th January at Jahazi Pier Munyonyo.
In this same meeting, Mayinja apologized to his friends and humbly requested for a second chance to be re-recruited as member of the Golden Band which all they successfully granted him.
As we reported to you last week, Mayinja quit Golden band after citing inadequate music concentration and need to secure success for his on-going adult education programme at Makerere University that will help him build his dream political career.
“I decided to quit Golden Band because l am busy lately with school and other duties which make it impossible for me to perform at the band shows and other programs,” he wrote on his social media.
This sparked verge after fellow singer Hajjati Stecia Mayanja leaving the same band over yet undisclosed issues.
However, Mayinja’s latest decision of returning home has raised a lot of criticisms especially from the public as majority have described him as a ‘betrayer’ and ‘indefinite’ singer.
