The musician cum politician ‘Bobi Wine’ arrived safely in Kingstone, Jamaica where he will be performing at the Rebel Salute Festival on the 18 and 19 January 2019, at Grizzly’s Plantation Cove located in St Ann Parish Jamaica.
Bobi Wine confirmed his arrival in the capital by sharing some photos dressed in Jamaican culture attire and getting cozy with the Rastafarian eats.
The event, considered as one of the biggest music festivals in Jamaica, is organized by Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall singer, Tony Rebel and its focus is on Reggae roots and conscious music.
The Rebel Salute confirmed to the world and Bobi Wine fans about his performance in a video clip we came across.
Singer Bobi Wine, who is also a Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East and motivational speaker took it to his social media and paid tribute to Kenyan citizens who perished in the Tuesday Dusit hotel terror attack.
“While enroute to Jamaica, I learnt of the attack on 14 Riverside Drive, in Nairobi – Kenya. Such an attack on innocent civilians must be condemned by all people of good will and a clear conscience. I stand deeply in solidarity with the victims of this attack, the leadership of the Republic of Kenya, as well as all people of Kenya who cherish peace and harmonious living,” he wrote on his social media.
“I read with pride, how the women and men in uniform over there responded swiftly with courage and bravery, thus minimizing the number of casualties in the attack. I commend you for exemplifying the courage with which we must always confront wickedness and injustice! Be assured of our comradeship, brothers and sisters. Tuko pamoja,” he added.
Bobi Wine was invited to perform at the two-day Reggae, Ragga and Dancehall Festival last year after the door to stage a music show on Boxing Day at One Love Beach in Busabala, Wakiso District, was closed by Police instead opened for longtime rival ‘Bebe Cool’.
We will keep you posted.
