A number of night hangouts in Kololo, a suburb of Kampala city are most likely to face strong operation of business restriction after residents dragging them to courts of law over noise pollution.
The suing process has been spearheaded by five diplomat residents including ‘Winnie Byanyima’ Oxfarm International Executive Director at the same time wife to former FDC political party flag bearer Rt. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye wife.
According to the residents, these nightclubs allegedly host rowdy clients, play high decibel music disrupting their peace and have huge floodlights and screens which reflect bright light to their homes.
A suit filed at Kampala High Court through Signum Advocates want the bars restricted from hosting late night parties and concerts and the case is expected to be ruled on 26th February.
A list of sued bar businesses include; Wave Lounge, Fame Lounge, H2O Bar & Lounge, Casablanca Bar & Restaurant, Big Mikes Bar, Atmosphere Bar and Bubbles O’Learys.
Kololo hill is famously known for residing a number of wealthy people in the country.
