Reports reaching our desk confirm that the former Inspector General of Police ‘Gen. Kale Kayihura’ has left his Muyenga home which he has occupied for the last 3years.
This sparks verge after the Uganda Police stopping to pay the luxurious Muyenga mansion rent worth Shs. 8Milllion per month for the former IGP together with his family’s comfort.
However, it is clearly indicated that Gen. Kayihura has left the house out of choice rather than being pushed out, because it is a private house that doesn’t belong to Police and which therefore he might have chosen to continue occupying provided he personally paid the rent.
This mansion he has been occupying next to Muyenga International Hotel is remembered to have been under tight security during the general’s tenure as IGP.
Gen. Kayihura was fired from the powerful position of IGP by the President last year and has since had a miserable life. This includes facing serious charges in the General Court Martial and battling with yet undisclosed health issues.
It is also said that the general, has moved his family to another posh mansion in Kampala as he spends most of his private time at his farm in Kashagama, South Western Uganda.
