The 8th HiPipo Music Awards will be held tomorrow Saturday, 16th March 2019 at Kampala Serena Hotel gates opening from 5:00pm till late.
As its motive, Hipipo golden accolades are prepared for over 4 segments each consisting of different categories; Africa (14 categories), East Africa (8 categories), Uganda (42 categories) and Specials (5 categories).
Nigerian singer ‘Yovi’ and Nigerian Roberto will headline this year’s edition of the HiPipo Music Awards.
With his songs such as; Holy water, Destiny, Amen, All for you, Yovi definitely will pull it up.
Also Denmark Based Ugandan Vocalist ‘Joanita Zachariassen’ is to feature as a guest performer. She is born Juanita Lubega Zachariassen one of the freshest music talents who in 2018 scooped top DR Live singing competitions accolade in Copenhagen, Denmark.
She is popularly known for songs such as; Mpola Mpola, Kyoyagala, Heartbreaker and Kiwato.
Ugandan artists Sheebah Karungi, Ann Kansiime, Fik Fameica, John Blaq, Roden Y Kabako, Kenneth Mugabi, Judith Heard, among others have been lined-up among the performances on the night.
Tickets to the VIP grand finale of the awards go for Shs. 100K and Shs. 3Million for a table.
Since its commencement edition, the HiPipo Music Awards has been improved from the previous one.
Having started at theater La Bonita in 2012 the prestigious event is now hosted at Kampala Serena receiving a convincing entourage every year.
