Beninese born, American based legend songstress Anglique Kidjo jetted into Uganda on Sunday evening for her highly anticipated lifetime performance in Kampala.
Angelique was received by Isaiah Katumwa and Uganda Breweries Limited Reserve Brand Manager, Annette Nakiyaga.
Under Uganda Breweries Ltd’s Johnnie Walker brand, Angelique Kidjo will be accompanied by Canadian saxophonist Darren Rahn, all headlining Uganda’s Jazz music artist Isaiah Katumwa’s concert at Kampala Serena Hotel on Tuesday 30th April 2019.
The Internationally acclaimed Jazz artistes’ concert coincides with the International World Jazz Day marked on April 30 in nearly 200 countries around the world.
She Angélique Kidjo, is a Beninese singer-songwriter, actress, and activist who is noted for her diverse musical influences and creative music videos.
Angelique’s fame rose in the 90’s with songs such as; Wombo Lombo (1996), Agolo (1994), Batongo (1992) that crossed continental borders, prompting her three time Grammy Awards victories in her music career.
