As we draw nearer to the highly anticipated 2021 Uganda Presidential elections, it’s heating-up seriously at the back door among the candidates willing to scoop candidature for this seat.
Ever since Famous musician cum politician Hon. Bobi Wine revealed his will of running for presidency in the next general elections, he has topped news headlines world over, worsening the political atmosphere for his incubates to-be.
News reaching on our desks today is that, the Kyadondo East Member of parliament is set to headline the newly initiated ‘People Power World Marathon’.
Like any other marathon, the People Power World Marathon is being organized by events promoter Bajjo (CEO Bajjo Events) together with colleague Abitex (CEO Abitex Promotions) with cause of keeping freedom fighters fit and ready for the coming polls.
According to Mr. Bajjo, it will be a single day event expected to kickoff this year with an 8months interval to the other.
Foreign countries around the world like; Canada, Turkey, America, Sweden are said to take part in the upcoming run and will be led by People Power movement representatives there.
In Uganda, regional marathons will be scheduled with different head runners; Kampala to be led by Hon Bobi Wine and Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago, Mityana – Hon Francis Zaake, Kakuuto – Geof Lutaaya, Masaka – Hon. Mukasa Mbidde, Bukomansimbi – Solomon Kayemba.
However, a number of other political icons in Uganda like Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye, Hon. Allan Ssewanyana have been lined up as influencers in this coming event.
