By: Shifrah Kayaga: Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu also known as Bobi Wine is charged for Disobedience of Statutory Duty. Kyagulanyi and four other people are alleged to have disobeyed sections 5 and 10 of the public order management law by holding a public meeting without giving notice to an authorized officer.
They allegedly committed the offence on 11th July 2018 in Kampala as they protested against the new tax on social media. They have been ordered to report to court on 10th July. Kyagulanyi’s lawyer Asuman Basalirwa represented him.
Robert Kyagulanyi also worried a lot of people the fact that he didn’t appear in court with no genuine reason.
