By Wycliff G; The Latest reaching our news desk indicates that Democratic Party President General Nobert Mao’s 19-year old son Nicholas Hope Mao has finally been found alive and kicking after hours of intense search.
Nicolas who went missing on weekend had prompted speculations of child kidnap and malicious harm to the renowned politician.
Thursday, August 29 morning Mr. Mao confirmed on his Facebook page that his teenager Nicholas has been found alive and well.
“Hallelujah! The hours of frantic search (some of which were blind alleys) have paid off. We have found Nico! I give the highest form of praise one can give the Living God. Nico is well,” he said.
“The time was 55 minutes past midnight. We found him asleep. His guitar leaning on the wall. His host (a cousin) said he wanted some time alone to reflect,” his father added.
Mr. Mao explained that his cousin said that the teenager had written a note he wanted to be dropped at [Mr. Mao] home to let the family know that he was fine “but alas the heavy downpour frustrated his plans.”
The Democratic Party President Mao has thanked all concerned people from all walks of life in Uganda and abroad offered support.
“How I wish I could embrace all those whose outpourings of prayer, love, and encouragement kept me from imagining and believing the worst. Your calls and messages kept our spirits high. Concerned people from all walks of life in Uganda and abroad offered support. I especially thank our friends for keeping us from the abyss of despair. Indeed friends are relatives you choose. We may not be related by blood but we are related by love. May God bless you all abundantly!,” he wrote.
Mr. Mao had earlier this week made a report to the Uganda Police about his son Nicholas Mao who left home in the company of a friend and had not returned since
Nicholas, 19, successfully completed his A-Levels at Vienna College in July and is on vacation.
