By Ntambi Jimsal; Legendary Ugandan Disc Jockey Kiberu Shiru aka DJ Shiru made stunning statements in the Ugandan music industry last weekend sending signals to other Djs to first think twice before claiming his top position.
DJ Shiru made it a weekend to remember countrywide as he thrilled music fans in a three-day music experience dubbed the ‘Mega Shirumatic Experience’ held at Club Ambiance Kampala, Folkland Masaka, and Ice Lounge Mbarara.
In this 6th season, the self-proclaimed ‘Spin Doctor’ flavored the music experience with guest DJs from East Africa and a chain of over 40 local artists to blow up the countless crowds.
These included; Gravity Omutujju, Pallaso, Fik Fameica, Pr. Wilson Bugembe, Jowylanda, Lydia Jazmine, John Blaq, Kalifah Aganaga, among others all keeping party animals on top of their heels as they whined along with their top jams mixed by DJ Shiru.
Shiru’s reputation and expertise in this business are undoubted worldwide as he has successfully held his own music shows all selling out massively for over 6 years off his 20year deejaying career, something exceptional in the Ugandan DJ fraternity.
He has also earned remarkable respect and salutes from other foreign Djs during both local and international concerts as he showers them with magical spinning skills of the decks, leaving their heads on toes.
