During Catherine Kusasira’s Tears of a Woman concert held at Serena Hotel in Kampala on September 20, 2019, Ronald mayinja was given a chance to perform and without taking any chance, he took to the stage with his “Bizeemu” song which sent singer Kusasira in panic mode.
As many people engaged in the fracas, Bobi iwne has also come out and praised singer Ronald Mayinja on his bravery to boldly speak on the “dictatorial” activities that are going on in the country which are just a repeat of the previous regimes that were ousted. “In a time when so many people have chosen to remain silent in the face of so much injustice; in a time when many artistes have chosen to play it safe; in a time when many Ugandans are putting their careers, safety and comfort ahead of their nation’s redemption, we must celebrate those who have chosen courage over fear; good over evil!. My brother, fellow artiste and PeoplePower co-ordinator Ronald Mayinja is one such Ugandan”. Bobi said
Bobi wine further commended Mayinja on not walking the path of some artists who praise the regime just to get favors from the president. “When some of my colleague artistes used a music concert as an opportunity to massage the dictator and make personal requests for assistance, Ronald Mayinja used the opportunity to call out the dictator in his face”.
“Even if those intolerant cowards cut your performance short because they could not stand the truth, the message was delivered loud and clear”. Bobi said in praise of Ronald Mayinja.
Bebe cool, a known NRM die hard also had a message for his fellow singer Mayinja. “I personally thank Ronald mayinja for working so hard for a better life today and i pray he teaches the young people how he made if from the 80’s life to the present life he enjoys.
Its always important you remember where u come from to appreciate where you are.
