By Wycliff G; Top Musician cum Politician Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is still keen on holding his ‘Osobola Independence day concert’ at One Love Beach Busabala despite Police distancing its self from the duty of confirming the show.
Speaking to the journalists earlier on Monday at his Fire Records Studio in Kamwokya, Bobi Wine said that Police has not yet responded to his letter that was addressed to them regarding his Independence day concert a few months ago, therefore it’s required of him to update his music fans as the law requires.
The continued silence from the Uganda Police is giving us higher hopes that our Osobola concert has been accepted to take place.
He also promised to personally walk to the Police headquarters on Wednesday morning if he does not receive any reply from Police regarding his concert status by Tuesday evening.
This comes in after the Uganda Police Spokesperson, Mr. Fred Enanga, told journalists earlier on Monday that police is yet to receive official communication from the territorial commanders where the concert will be held.
He said the commanders are tasked to visit the scene and see whether it complies with the set minimum security standards such as fire extinguisher, body scanners.
He said without the confirmation of the commanders, the show will not take place.
