By Website Writer; The longtime feud between legendary singer Jose Chameleone and talent manager Geofrey Kiwanuka aka Jeff Kiwa could be over the hill after both posing in the same picture that hit social media earlier today morning.
The word of mouth started after singer Jose Chameleone posted a picture with the Team No Sleep boss accompanied by emotional words firming their brotherly relationship.
In his message, the ‘Basiima Ogenze’ singer applauds Jeff Kiwa’s unbeatable contribution to his music career during the early days when he was still Leone Island’s manager.
He also thanks Leone Island members (by-then) in Nyanama, Entebbe road for being great friends who built a milestone in his life to becoming one of the greatest musicians Uganda has ever had.
“We all have odds, But remember we also evens.
We Built bridges to greatness no matter the price. We were all brothers with great intent.
Credit must go to the rightful owners.
In this post thank Jeff Kiwanuka and all the Leone Island Family – Nyanama!!! for the being great Friends. Brothers with whom we believed no matter who doubted.
It’s not easy but bro we are still inspiration to many. Live on without limits!!
We shall never give up no matter the stones they throw!!
LEONE ISLAND MUSIC EMPIRE”
Reads Jose Chameleone’s Message
Jose Chameleone and Sheebah Karungi will be performing at the Royal Regency Hall, London this Saturday.
The genesis of the Mayanja Family-Jeff Kiwa Guerilla War:
Jeff and Jose Chameleone split in 2007 after strong misunderstandings regarding Radio & Weasel’s future plans under Leone Island music.
Jeff Kiwa and duo Radio & Weasel quit Jose Chameleone’s Leone Island camp forming their own ‘Nyanama boys’ that later was re-branded to ‘Goodlyfe crew’.
Six years later, Jeff Kiwa broke-up with Radio & Weasel and starting up his own crew “Team No Sleep” where he signed up Sheebah Karungi, his nemesis Jose Chameleone and Weasel’s young brother ‘AK 47’ from Leone Island music empire, and Pallaso who had just returned from the US.
This rose confusion in the Mayanja family that steamed continuous musical and bloody wars among them.
In March 2015, sad news of AK 47’s death hit the two camps (Leone Island & Team No Sleep) after being found dead in the shower rooms of Deejavu Bar, Kampala which was owned by Jeff Kiwa by-then.
This was a huge storm to the Mayanja brothers as they all pinned Jeff Kiwa responsible for their brother’s death.
A few weeks after his burial, Chameleone hit studio recording a tribute for the Late AK 47, dubbed “Tubamukwase’ where he mentioned Jeff Kiwa’s name in a provoking verse.
This forced Pallaso to also quit Jeff Kiwa’s Team No Sleep, forming his own label Team Good Music.
However, this seemed a controversy among the musical brothers as their eldest brother Humphrey Mayanja instead backed up Jeff Kiwa, rubbing him innocent in this saga.
Since then, Jeff Kiwa and the Mayanja brothers have been in guerrilla warfare, until today when Chameleone seemed to have brought it to a climax.
