By Wycliff G; Ugandan sensational singer Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso continues in deep pain after sustaining serious injuries in South Africa an attack reported to be xenophobic.
The multi-genre singer who jetted to the Mandela land last week for a few musical shows and his video shoots, nearly ended up on a death note after ambushed by South African horde who claimed to be xenophobic.
However, Pallaso’s attack has stipulated unbearable controversies back home (Uganda) as some social media commenters and media personalities instead term it a public stunt created by the ‘Akomelerwe’ singer.
This has awakened his emotions and forced to do a Facebook live stream to lament on how the entire situation arose, burying false statements set-up by tormentors.
“My fellow Ugandans joking about my situation I want to inform you ‘Xenophobia’ is real. I am not in court and I don’t owe anybody an explanation but the greatest part of it is I’m still alive,” stated Pallaso on his Facebook page.
He also went ahead and commented on a video that has been circulating on social media showing an angry gang destroying a Mercedes Benz parked besides.
The self-proclaimed “Sucker free boss” said this was not a Nigerian-owned car as critics have claimed on social media but it belongs to his South African friend Deno Kiwunya whom he was with when he was attacked.
“This here is not a Nigerian owned car as claimed, this is Deno Kiwunya’s Mercedes car being demolished after I fled the scene under mob attacks. The same car I was seated in before all this happened. As you can see it parked on the roadside next to the shop we went to buy food at. I was attacked because I am in South Africa and I’m not South African,” he said.
Pallaso also revealed his huge disappointment from all fellow citizens who decided to upend his painful situation lightly and subjected to a public joke.
He added by emotionally cautioned Ugandans especially his fans to distance themselves from such deadly critics.
“This is very sad. You will take it lightly but remember today it’s me tomorrow it’s someone else and it could be someone you love. Death flashed very closely in my face yesterday and tomorrow you or your loved one might not be as lucky as me to survive the attack. Please world wake up,” he ended.
Pallaso further swore to first complete his business in South Africa before he jets back to Uganda.
Imbaraga wishes you a quick recovery Pallaso!
