By Wycliff G; Multi International award-winning music icon Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo’s music festival could face a postponement after sighting a multitude of hyping COVID-19 cases in East Africa.
The highly anticipated ‘Eddy Kenzo Festival’ was earlier slated for March, 28 at Kololo Independence grounds but its currently most likely to be postponed due to the persistent pandemic that has hit most parts of East Africa; Kenya, Rwanda & Tanzania, also sparking health unsettlement in Uganda.
The Eddy Kenzo festival will also comprise of regional tours to districts such as Mbale, Masaka and Mbarara with local artists riding crowds with performances and rewarding lucky winners with prizes such as; school fees, motorcycles, household materials, among others, under different competitions.
Apparently, the concert organizers ‘Luba Events’ together with the ‘Semyekozo’ hitmaker’s management headed by Martin Beta are still keen on holding the shows despite government raising a health alarm regarding the threatening Corona Virus outbreak in Uganda.
COVID-19 Pandemic continues to greatly ruin the health, business, entertainment, sectors around the world with most public gatherings; sports, concerts and campaigns being cancelled or postponed.
Among these are Ugandan shows like; Tugende Mukikadde (April, 4), Kent & Flosso (April, 18), Comedy Store, among others, all have been postponed until further notice.
