Abtex’s “Frank Gashumba Must Apologize” Riot Foiled

By Wycliff G; Kampala City events promoter Abey Musinguzi aka Abitex’s planned peaceful demonstration against mouth-motorized socialite Frank Gashumba was not successful as earlier anticipated.

This follows the Uganda Police intervention on Wednesday afternoon that led to the arrest of promoter Abitex and Kadangokamu singer Mathias Walukagga as soon as the riot had kicked off.

These were arrested for inciting violence at Bulange-Mengo, and taken to Old Kampala Police station where they were later released on Police bond.

Abitex in company of other Patriotic Baganda had planned to match from the Kabaka’s palace in Mengo to Frank Gashumba’s home in command for his apology to the Buganda Kingdom Prime Minister (Katikiro) Charles Peter Mayinga.

Abitex’s letter to Uganda Police in confirmation of a peaceful demonstration.

Gashumba is accused of demoralizing the Buganda culture when he publically insulted Katikiro Mayiga, an act that demeaned his respect and position in the Kingdom.
