By Wycliff G; Multi-international award winner, Edrisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo touched down safely on Saturday, 25th July at 1:30am aboard the Uganda Airlines from Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
According to the Government of Uganda’s tweet, the BET award winner and 55 other Ugandan Nationals and legal residents who had been stranded in West African countries due to the Covid-19 pandemic were successfully repatriated and brought back to the Pearl of Africa.

Taking it to his social media, the ‘Semyekozo’ singer confirms his arrival to Uganda and is deeply thankful to God for the gift of life and protection during his stay in Ivory Coast.
“Fellow Ugandans, I greet you in the name of Allah and the almighty God. Today, I and other Ugandans arrived safely at the Entebbe International Airport aboard Uganda Airlines.
First and foremost, I thank God for enabling me to come back home safely. This all seemed like a farfetched possibility but by His Grace, I and very many Ugandans have been repatriated back home safely,” wrote Eddy.
Kenzo delivers his appreciations to all Ugandans for the prayers, consolation messages during the hard times away from his mother-land and those that tirelessly pushed for his return.
“I would like to thank everyone that pushed and prayed for my return. Your efforts are greatly appreciated, May Allah bless you all abundantly.”
He also grateful to his camp members, fans and media that spent their time at the airport to welcome him.
“To my Big talent family, Eddy Kenzo fans and the media that came to the airport, I recognize your efforts and the love you showed me yesterday despite my delay,” he added.
The father of two is also pleased with the efforts rendered by the government of Uganda in conjunction with the Uganda Airlines and task force to successfully lift Ugandan nationals back home.
“I also want to congratulate the Ugandan Government, the Uganda Airlines and the Task Force and its members for an extremely efficient and professional undertaking of this whole repatriation process.”
Kenzo is also impressed by the support from his fans in Abidjan, Ivory Coast and promises to forever consider it at heart.
“To all my friends, fans, and family that supported me in Abidjan, I am forever indebted to you for your support and for making my stay worthwhile throughout the time I was in your country,” Kenzo further stated.
However, Kenzo has reveals that he has been placed under a 14days quarantine as per the standard precautionary measures set by the Ministry of Health, amidst Corona Virus pandemic global outbreak.
“I’ve been placed under quarantine for 14 days as per the standard precautionary measures but I am hopeful that I will be reunited with all of you very soon. I appeal to you all to stay safe and take Covid-19 seriously,” concluded Eddy Kenzo.
